About this how-to
Are your Nissan Z’s active hood poppers deployed, or are you upgrading your hood and hinges for aftermarket carbon fiber? In this video, we walk you through the entire step-by-step process of replacing the OEM hood hinges and the active pyrotechnic pedestrian protection actuators (hood poppers) on the new RZ34 Nissan Z. ⚠️ WARNING: The OEM hood actuators (poppers) contain pyrotechnic charges linked to your vehicle's SRS (airbag) system. Always disconnect the battery and wait at least 10–15 minutes before working on these components to avoid accidental deployment!
